Our History
Metrowest Educational Advocates exists today because of the determination of two mothers who fought for the educational rights of their children with special needs. Together we came to believe that our combined knowledge, strength and resources could benefit families who needed support navigating the complexities of their local special educational system.
With over thirty years of combined experience in business, counseling and education, Karen Randall and Sarah Commerford are qualified to provide families with a unique blend of professional, personal and specialized expertise. Our flexible and responsive advocacy services offer the kind of supportive, pro-active and practical supports families need to secure appropriate educational services for their children with special needs.
The key to empowerment is understanding current Massachusetts Special Education Laws and how they impact our children’s right to receive a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) under federal law.
